This notice is posted pursuant to Section 211 of Chapter 640 of the Laws of 2008 amending the Education Law and the Retirement and Social Security Law concerning the employment of retired public employees. 

Mr. Peter C Scordo has been approved by the Elwood School district for the 2009-2010 school year.  His compensation package for this work includes a salary of $192,000 along with an allotment for sick and personal days, holidays and vacation time.

Pursuant to the aforementioned law and regulation during this time period he is able to receive his retirement pension from the New York State Teacher's Retirement System.
